What are the Delivery and Pick-Up times?

Normal delivery and pick-up times are 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. If you’d like to request a different time frame, please contact us.

All drivers must be at least 25 years old and must present a valid driver’s license or state ID.

We provide a full range of Coast Guard approved life jackets in sizes for everyone, from infants to adults, so every individual can stay safe with a secure, proper fit.

In Michigan, all children under the age of six are required to wear a lifejacket, also known as a personal flotation device (PFD).

Yes, alcohol is allowed. However, like driving, it’s important to have a designated driver. Operating the pontoon under the influence of alcohol is prohibited by Michigan law.

For safety reasons, the following are not permitted on the boat:

  • BBQ grills
  • Generators
  • Smoking
  • Fireworks
  • Illegal drugs
  • Pets

Boats are provided with a full tank of fuel at delivery. If more fuel is required during the rental, it is the client’s responsibility to refuel. A charge for fuel consumption will apply at the time of the rental return.

Yes, we require a $500 damage deposit due at checkout.

Yes, prior to payment, you’ll be asked to sign a liability waiver and charter agreement via electronic signature.

If St. Joseph Boat Rentals cancels the trip due to inclement weather, we will reschedule based on availability. Please refer to our cancellation policy for additional details.

At St. Joseph Boat, we understand that plans can change, and we strive to make our cancellation policy as fair and transparent as possible.
  • Full Refund: Cancellations made 14 days or more before your scheduled rental date will receive a 100% refund minus processing fees.
  • Partial Refund: For cancellations made less than 14 days before the rental date, a $300 cancellation fee will be deducted from your original payment.
  • Rescheduling: You may reschedule your rental for up to 1 year from your original date, subject to availability.

Yes, we require that boats have a dock or slip to be left at when unattended. Failure to provide this could result in forfeiting your damage deposit.

Yes, tubing is allowed depending on the boat rented. However, we do not allow skiing. Only tubes provided by St. Joseph Boat Rentals can be used for towing.

We primarily serve Southwest and West Michigan. Please check the service area map on our website or contact us directly if you don’t see your lake listed.

St. Joseph Boat Rentals is not responsible for late arrivals. A fee of $25 for every 30-minute delay will be deducted from your damage deposit.
